Leaked iPhone 12 Case Stickers Reveal ‘iPhone 12 mini’ Branding

We heard earlier this week that Apple is set to call the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 mini, bringing the mini name to its smartphone lineup for the first time. Now, a new leak showing iPhone case packaging appears to again confirm the iPhone 12 mini naming.

The photo shows three stickers showing different case options with iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max naming clearly visible.

With the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro both offering the same screen size, they will apparently both support the same cases – as confirmed by this photo.

The image itself was shared to Twitter by leaker DuanRui. This is the same account that shared iPad Air information – a pamphlet that time – that turned out to be 100% accurate. With that in mind it’s probably worth paying attention to this latest image.

Apple is set to announce four new iPhones next month, with October 13 looking increasingly likely to be the big day. If so, pre-orders will reportedly start on October 16 with devices shipping on October 23. That means we have a little more than a month to wait after the normal September release window came and went thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

At this point it appears we know pretty much everything about the new releases, unless Apple is able to surprise us with something new. Maybe the iPad Air’s Touch ID-filled power button could make the jump to the iPhone? Let’s hope so!
