iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max Specs, Price, Release Date Announced

Just as expected, Apple just announced the new round of iPhones with iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Pro Max now all official.

Depending on which model of iPhone you decide to go for you’re going to get different colors, storage options, and of course price to choose from. Let’s get started!

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini

Featuring a new diagonal camera layout, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini have a bigger camera bump with the lens re-aligned, but the casing size is exactly the same as the iPhone 12 series. The notch has shrunk by 20% which is not much, but at least it’s something.

Apple’s A15 Bionic chip powers these things while new mmWave 5G support has been added to more countries, too. There are bigger batteries too, with the iPhone 13 lasting 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, and the mini lasting about 1.5 hours longer that the iPhone 12 mini.

In terms of cameras, sensor shift stabilization has been added to make for less shaky shots, allowing for sharper images. Improved cameras are offered all around, too with the 12MP wide sensor being able to gather 47% more light compared to the iPhone 12. The new 12MP ultra-wide sensor is now faster, with a 120-degree fov.

There’s also a new ‘cinematic mode’ for video recording which basically allows for rack focusing. Call it portrait mode for video, with auto-focus tracking, as well as selective focusing. The more exciting bit is the focus transition though, with the phone intelligently detecting when a subject is in focus, and when its looking away from the camera.

Colors available: Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max

As you’d expect, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max sport the same functionality as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, but with extra capabilities thrown into the mix.

The new ProMotion display tech on Apple’s new high-end iPhones now supports a variable refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz for the first time. Thanks to a redesigned internals, there’s space for more battery juice as well. “iPhone 13 Pro will last up to one and a half hours longer in a day than iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max will last up to two and a half hours longer in a day than iPhone 12 Pro Max.”

Coming to the camera’s the new 77mm telephoto lens supports 3x zoom, while the ultrawide lens also works for macro-mode with focusing at a minimum distance of 2cm. More so, night mode is now active on all three lens, which is a huge plus!

We also have new ‘Smart HD 4’ with Apple releasing Photographic Styles for the camera app. This is basically, Apple’s answer to a customized HDR experience.

Something that isn’t offered elsewhere is the new support for Apple ProRes video recording, making for improved video output. The new devices come with storage options all the way up to 1TB to allow people to capture as much footage as possible, too. Of course, like the iPhone 13 and 13 mini we have the new cinematic mode which uses “machine learning and disparity” to give you cinematic focus transitions.
