How To Connect PS4 Controller To iPhone Or iPad & Play PlayStation Games

Here’s how to connect PS4 controller to iPhone or iPad and play PlayStation 4 or iOS games on your device using Sony’s official controller.

With so many awesome games available for iPhone and iPad, including the hugely popular Fortnite and its support for 120Hz gaming, using a controller is the best way to enjoy them.

Apple added official support for the Sony PlayStation 4 controller in iOS and iPadOS 13, and you really ought to take advantage of it.

Whether you’re using an existing PS4 controller or are picking one up to use just with an iPhone or iPad, the process is the same. And we’re sure you’re going to enjoy gaming on something other than that touch screen!

Here’s how you go about getting your PS4 controller up and running.

Note: If you don’t own a PS4 controller yet, you can pick one up for your iPhone or iPad here.

  1. Go to Settings and then Bluetooth on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Hold the PlayStation (PS logo) button and the share button on your controller at the same time. Once you see the DualShock 4 Wireless Controller appear on your iPhone or iPad, give it a tap.
  3. And that’s all there is to it!

From now on just turning on your PS4 controller by pressing the PlayStation controller is enough to get the connection set up. From there on out it’s just a case of getting your gaming on and enjoying yourself!
