Download: iOS 14.6 Beta 1 IPSW Links, OTA Profile File, Along With First Beta Of iPadOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5, tvOS 14.6 Released

You can now download iOS 14.6 beta 1 IPSW links and OTA profile file along with first beta of iPadOS 14.6, tvOS 14.6 and watchOS 7.5. Here are the details.

Apple seems to be getting a little ahead of itself with software releases. The public is yet to get its hands on iOS/iPadOS 14.5 but the Cupertin0-based company has already issued initial developer betas of iOS/iPadOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5, and tvOS 14.6.

The move to release developer beta 1 of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 will definitely come as a shock to a lot of developers. Especially those who are still digesting the announcements made at Apple’s recent Spring Loaded event and who are still playing with all of the new features of the latest Xcode seed. Now, with this shock move, those same developers have immediate access to iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 for all compatible devices.

Both of those firmware versions are available with immediate effect as over-the-air installs on devices that are running the correct configuration profile. The downloads are accessible through the Settings application via General > Software Update and come with build number 18F5046f. If the update isn’t showing right away, it’s just a case of continuing to try until it finally propagates through. Keep in mind, however, that these releases are intended solely for developers at this point.

Additionally, Apple has also seeded the first beta of watchOS 7.5 for compatible Apple Watch models as well as beta 1 of tvOS 14.6 for Apple TV and HomePod.

Apple’s previous release – which, ironically, is yet to actually be released – contains a number of feature improvements, including support for the newly announced AirTags, and a heap of security and privacy enhancements. With iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6, the company is likely looking to get all of its ducks in a row and pre-empitvely fix a number of issues and niggles that it’s aware of without delaying the release of iOS 14.5.

We currently don’t know the extent of what’s included in these releases but we will be sure to update as and when any information becomes available.
