Download: Apple Releases iOS 15.6 Beta 1 And iPadOS 15.6 Beta 1

Apple has today made iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 available to developers in an initial beta release. The new update comes just a couple of days after Apple also released the final iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 updates to the world.

This round of betas comes at a time when some had thought that Apple may slow releases down a little.

It’s expected that Apple will announce iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 during its WWDC opening keynote on June 6, with a new round of developer betas following on the same day. At this rate, it appears probable that Apple will run both that beta program and one for iOS and iPadOS 15.6 alongside each other.

Developers who have the correct developer beta profile installed on their iPhone or iPad can now download this update over the air, while IPSW files are also set to be made available for manual installation.

It’s currently too early to say whether these new updates have any new features of note but we expect to find out sooner rather than later. Assuming no issues are discovered, those who are part of the public beta program are likely to be able to install these same updates within the next day or two.

Apple has also released the first developer beta build of macOS Monterey 12.5, too.
