Sony is all set to release - or at least announce - a new Xperia smartphone at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The electronics giant has just released a video teaser in the follow up to its preparation for that day, and it has indeed gotten our attention. Sometimes, the simplest of creations are the most beautiful ones, and it is no surprise that consumer trend towards minimalistic designs is increasing, especially where wearable electronics are concerned. Enter - FES Watch, which is built entirely out of e-paper apart from its frame of course. The Fashion Entertainments startup (FES) is a sub division of Sony, which makes this product even more intriguing.
Sony has just débuted a new image sensor for mobile devices that incorporates a "stacked" design, which offers a more compact form factor while still improving dramatically on overall performance. It's widely accepted that while Sony's unveiling of the QX lens camera attachments for smartphones last year was a novel idea, the execution was far from ideal. Poor, sluggish functionality were the general quibbles with what might have been a game-changer, but to its credit, the company is back with a couple of new ideas and new products that encompass said ideas.
