Palm Pre Style Multitasking on Jailbroken iPhone

M Asad·November 23, 2009
Multifl0w is an iPhone app which allows switching between applications running in background in a beautiful Palm Pre style cover flow-like mode. It will basically act as a graphical extension to the already popular app from Cydia called Backgrounder to present all opened apps in a tabbed view, similar to the view seen on Mobile Safari. The combination of Multifl0w and Backgrounder will be a treat to have for power users who wants to run multiple apps at the same time on the iPhone. For better comprehension, you may have a look at the screenshot attached below.

Snappy – The Fastest Camera App for Jailbroken iPhone

M Asad·November 22, 2009
There are times when you would suddenly like to instantaneously capture a scene or a nearby happening with your iPhone but the time available to take such shots is always limited. One normally misses out these precious moments when trying to capture them through iPhone using the native Camera app because of the time the built-in camera app takes in starting, taking picture and then closing. This problem has now been resolved for jailbroken iPhone users by Marc Vaillant who has developed a very useful app like qTweeter called “Snappy”.

HTC HD2 or iPhone 3GS

M Asad·November 15, 2009
International Business Times has made a nice comparison of HTC HD2 and iPhone 3GS by pitting the two in a head to head contest. To some extent, they have been successful in rightly proving that HTC HD2 is far superior to iPhone (in terms of hardware anyway). Different aspects of the two like: size, display, camera & video recording, connectivity and wireless connection, OS, processor, music and video, keyboard, storage and memory, power and battery, Price tags and browsing have been compared. The final verdict shows that HD2 wins in 8, where as iPhone in 1, and there are ties on 4 other aspects.

iPhone/Privacy.A Virus Hits Jailbroken iPhone

M Asad·November 12, 2009
November has proved tough for jailbroken iPhone users as they twice came under attack by hackers. First one which we did warned you about was when a Dutch hacker tried to access jailbroken iPhones through SSH in his native country Netherlands. He was successful in sending totally off guarded users a message that read, "Your iPhone's been hacked because it's really insecure! Please visit doiop.com/iHacked and secure your iPhone right now! Right now, I can access all your files.". The second development was an attempt by an Australian who successfully injected a worm called “ikee” into jailbroken iPhones whose users forgot to change their root password for SSH. Victims of ikee virus were astonished to find their home screen background automatically changed to that of Rick Astley. ikee virus spread like a chain reaction from iPhones on one cellular network, to iPhones on other.

M Asad·November 7, 2009
iPhone 3.0 brought video editing on-the-go to iPhone 3GS so that you don't have to wait until you’re at your computer to start editing your mobile movies. The introduction of video capture no doubt was an excellent and nice feature that Apple brought to iPhone users, but they felt limited for a while with what they could do after shooting. Many advance features like combining multiple video clips, text watermarking, transition effects and so on are missing from the built-in video editing feature in iPhone OS 3.1.x for iPhone 3GS. The following apps will make your iPhone 3GS a complete video-editing studio right in your pocket.
