This App For iPhone Lets You Make Free Voice Calls Via Bluetooth

Paul Morris·April 26, 2012
Did you know that Bluetooth is the Anglicized version of the name given to Kind Harald I of Denmark who was well-known for uniting various tribes in Denmark into one single Kingdom? Not exactly relevant to the iBluetooth Call tweak, but still it's worth knowing that our technology names are steeped in history.

Will iOS Gaming Overtake Console Gaming?

Paul Paliath·April 26, 2012
As a result of iOS devices significantly gaining ground, pundits have started discussing their role in the world of gaming. Now, before I begin, I do want to make something clear. iOS has nothing on hardcore PC and console gaming, and by the looks of things, it won't for quite some time. Those of us who play Battlefield or even CoD will still be turning to the console or PC for our fix, there's no question about that.

SpinTask For iPhone Lets You Quickly And Efficiently Switch Between A Pre-Defined Set Of Apps

Paul Morris·April 26, 2012
With the introduction of iOS 4.0, Apple brought the current native multitasking system to us that allows users to quickly switch back and forth between apps that have been recently used and currently reside in the switcher tray. Those said apps can be accessed by double pressing the Home button on the device. Developers who cater for jailbroken users through the release of Cydia-based packages have been coming up with and launching tweaks that investigate additional ways to switch between apps.

WWDC 2012 Dates Announced, Tickets Now On Sale!

Ben Reid·April 25, 2012
Tying in with rumors surfacing last month, the Worldwide Developer Conference will indeed begin on the week beginning June 11th, it has been confirmed by Apple itself. The conference, held during the middle of each year, is one of the fruit company's main events, and in the past, has launched some of Apple's most successful products to date. This year, as you'd expect, the main focal point will be the upcoming Mountain Lion OS for Mac, but workshops will focus on both iOS and OS X Mountain Lion, offering attendees guidance on how to enhance apps in terms of performance, quality, functionality and design.

Paul Morris·April 25, 2012
It seems that all things relating to Microsoft's Skype service has been top of the gossip over the last couple of days, with the company releasing an additional mobile version of the app for Windows Phone, as well as bringing the Skype experience for the first time to a portable gaming device with their free of charge PlayStation Vita app.

FaceVault Brings Android Ice Cream Sandwich’s Facial Recognition To The iPhone! [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·April 25, 2012
Jailbroken iPhone users happen to be benefitting from the luxuries which the Cydia store provides, one of them is using facial recognition to unlock their device. The RecognizeMe tweak has been available for jailbroken iPhones for quite some time through Cydia and even Android users hold bragging rights over iOS when it comes to this kind of biometric recognition.

Prevent People From Deleting Photos From Your iPhone’s Camera Roll With PhotoProtect

Paul Morris·April 24, 2012
One of the most sensitive sections of a smartphone has to be the media gallery, or in the case of an iPhone, the Camera Roll, where all photos get saved to when the camera hardware is used to capture videos or still images. Having my iPhone fall into the hands of one of my mischievous and them deleting some of my important images is always something that concerns me, but thankfully the jailbreak development community has us covered, once again.

Alleged Photos Of Next-Generation iPhone Home Button Surfaces

Paul Paliath·April 24, 2012
Following a report earlier this month claiming that production has already began on the next-generation iPhone, a new rumor suggests that it will be receiving a slightly redesigned Home button. If you were anticipating a redesigned oval-shaped capacitive touch Home button, then prepare to be disappointed (again, bearing in mind just how often this rumor has been regurgitated time and time again). The new rumored home button seems to have little aesthetic difference from the existing home button on the 4S.
