Twitter for iPhone and Android has had a major overhaul today, with both versions of the social networking app seeing plenty of changes both under the hood, and up front.
The war between Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone is far from over. There have many battles, many accusations and many lawsuits fought and won all over the world between the pair. The lawsuits mostly involve patent infringements and accusations that each company is copying the other's designs.
There is a growing perception among the smartphone enthusiast crowd that Android is an insecure mobile operating system which is riddled with viruses, trojans, rootkits and what have you, and that an Android phone will be open to these malicious pieces of software unless and until you install an antivirus. While some parts of this perception are completely wrong (we will discuss them in a separate post), we still believe that it is better to be safe than sorry and that is exactly why we’ll be talking about an supercharged new security app from avast! for Android after the jump.

We saw this happen with the Kindle Fire and HP TouchPad, and we’re seeing it happen with the BlackBerry PlayBook. RIM, just like HP, is struggling to sell their iPad-competing tablet. We came across some very exciting news today: the Android modding community has managed to boot Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich on Amazon’s Kindle Fire and a video has been uploaded which shows the work-in-progress ROM. Check out the details after the jump!
Great news! Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series will now be able to play them on their mobile devices soon. On December 15th, Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition will be available for download on the Apple’s App Store and on the Android Market.

It's really not been a great week for mobile security. We've had the giant mess that is the Carrier IQ debacle, where a company appears to have at least the ability to monitor just about anything to do with a smartphone, and now we have a new Android security flaw that could potentially be just as troublesome.
These are worrying times for HTC, with a hearing tomorrow set to decide whether the company did indeed violate two of Apple's patents. If the ruling goes in the iPhone maker's favor, then the repercussions could be felt far and wide.
