Paul Morris·October 8, 2015
After initially publishing a number of leading tweets relating to a possible iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak, Luca Todesco, a student from Italy, has now released the source code that provides a jailbreak solution for the last publicly available version of iOS 8. The release of the source code of the jailbreak, which has been given the name Yalu, looks likely to stick around for a while before an actual jailbreak tool is served up by Todesco for the less technically minded for jailbreaking devices on iOS 8.4.1.

Apple Announces New Bluetooth Speaker: Beats Pill+

Zayed Rehman·October 8, 2015
Apple has surprised us all today by announcing a new and improved Beats Pill bluetooth speaker, and is calling it the Pill+. The new speaker isn't a radical retake of the original Pill with Apple focusing on making some serious under-the-hood improvements to produce what could arguably be the best sounding Pill ever. Pill+ is set to replace the original Pill speaker which was launched back in 2012. It is larger than previous Pill, but smaller than now discontinued Pill XL.

iPhone 6s Touch ID / Home Button Overheating For Some Users

Paul Morris·October 7, 2015
The iPhone 6s may not be plagued by any issues as extreme as last year's "bendgate" scandal, but that doesn't mean that certain users don't think the phone's without its problems. In the small amount of time that the handset has been available, we've heard of consumers taking to various Apple forums to complain of the iPhone 6s shutting itself down and feeling extremely hot. There were also reports of the phone overheating to an extent that iOS actually prompted the user about the condition. Now, another set of users are starting to notice that the Home button on the iPhone 6s unit is feeling increasingly hot and dissipating what feels like huge amounts of heat over the surface area of the button.

YiSpecter iOS Malware Can Infect Non-Jailbroken Devices, Here Are The Details

Paul Morris·October 6, 2015
The existence of malware on Apple's iOS platform isn't exactly a new thing, contrary to the popular myth that iOS and OS X are bulletproof. With that said, as a mobile platform, iOS is seemingly a lot more secure than the competition, and has historically only come under attack if the device is actually jailbroken, meaning when it has been liberated from the security of Apple's walled garden. Unfortunately, that may no longer be the case thanks to a new strain of malware known as YiSpecter, which has been discovered to attack non-jailbroken iOS devices.
