Apple’s ‘iCloud Account & Sign In’ Broken As Some Users Report Constant Errors

It would appear Apple is having some sort of a break down when it comes to iCloud sign-in or activation, as users complain about not being able to sign-in to new devices and activate them.

The issue began around 1:45 AM Pacific Time, on December 25th, and is effecting multiple devices, like the iPhone, iPad, Mac etc.

Apple has acknowledged the issue, and has said it’s working on the issue to resolve it as soon as possible. It is quite annoying having bought a new Apple TV, HomePod, Mac, or iOS device, and to be faced with activation and sign-in errors.

Apple has said that it should be fixed in a couple of hours, while we still try to get a grasp on how widespread the issue actually is.

For now though if you head on over to Apple’s  System Status website over at apple.com/support/systemstatus, you will see the ‘iCloud Account & Sign In’ tab tagged with an “Issue”.

At best, it is advised to not go take some extreme measures with your new Apple device right now and just wait till the service is up as Apple has said it would be in a couple of hours.
