Apple CEO Tim Cook Takes Elon Musk On A Tour Of Apple Park

Apple CEO Tim Cook appears to have taken Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk on a tour of Apple Park, with the pair likely to have discussed the brewing feud between the two companies.

Musk had previously taken issue with Apple’s 30% cut of App Store subscriptions, suggesting that he was willing to go to war with the company.

Musk’s failed relaunch of Twitter Blue would likely have been the first time he experienced the 30% cut, and will do so again when the in-app purchase is re-enabled in the future.

Musk is also dealing with a reduced ad spend among many companies, with Apple reported to be one of those cutting back on spending. Apple was thought to be one of Twitter’s biggest sources of ad revenue, but ongoing concerns about the content available on the social network has caused some to become concerned about what their ads would appear beside.

There was also a recent claim by Musk that Apple had threatened to remove Twitter from its App Store over content moderation concerns.

However, it now looks like Musk and Cook had a meeting to discuss matters, with Musk tweeting to thank his Apple counterpart for taking him on a tour of Apple Park. He later tweeted that Apple won’t be removing Twitter from the App Store and that it was all a “misunderstanding.”
