Apple Adds New Smart Folio Covers For iPad Air 3, iPad mini 5 To Its Store

Apple announced new iPad mini and iPad Air tablets earlier today, and now we also have the Smart Folio covers to go alongside them.

Apple has taken the wraps off a series of new Smart Folio covers for both of the new tablets, and there’s even one new color for the Smart Folio that goes with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, too. That new Smart Folio comes in the form of a new Pink Sand color option, giving owners of the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro another color to select if the previous ones weren’t to their liking.

The Smart Folio for the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model now offers protection for both the front and back. It also provides open-to-wake and close-to-sleep functionality.

Moving to the new tablets, both the iPad mini and iPad Air now have Smart Folio covers available in Papaya, Charcoal Gray, Pink Sand, and White. Those for the smaller iPad mini will set buyers back $39, while the larger 10.5-inch models for the iPad Air will cost a little more at $49.

All of these Smart Folio covers and colors can be ordered from the online Apple Store and will presumably also be arriving in brick and mortar stores in due course. I’m always a sucker for a good old-fashioned dark color, but even I have to admit that some of these more bright, louder colors are pretty appealing. I’m just not sure I could live with them day in, day out. If you can though, more power to you!
