Game Of Thrones Remained The Most Pirated TV Show In 2019

Game of Thrones might have come to an end but its final season went out with a bang in more ways than one. Whether you liked the way it ended or not, there’s no denying that it was a hit with pirates. For the seventh year, Game of Thrones was the most pirated TV show on the internet during 2019.

Game of Thrones has long been one of the hottest properties on the usual pirate sites around the internet and 2019 was once again the year of the dragon. But with the show having now drawn to a close, we’re left wondering what will take over the crown left vacant by Game of Thrones.

The smart money is on The Mandalorian depending on how the second season pans out. The first season has already come to an end on Disney+, yet another paid-for streaming service. If season 2 is as popular as the first, then there is a good chance it will be right up there in the pirating stakes.

Behind Game of Thrones in the pirate features for 2019 sat the hugely popular Chernobyl with the aforementioned The Mandalorian in third spot. The Big Bang Theory and Vikings rounded out the top five places.

With The Big Bang Theory and Chernobyl also having come to an end who knows what the rankings will look like come the end of 2020.
