Safari Gets “Pull To Refresh” On the iPhone [Jailbreak Tweak]

Back in November, we reported about “Pull To Refresh for Mail” tweak in Cydia for jailbroken iPhones. And now, this nifty tweak is available for Mobile Safari browser on your iOS device. Once the tweak has been installed through Cydia, all you have to do is to start Safari and slide the page down until you see the refresh dialogue appear. Once you release your finger, the page will refresh just as if you tapped the usual refresh button.

Just like Pull To Refresh for Mail, this tweak is available for free and is compatible with firmware 3.x onwards !

Pull To Refresh Safari

Tweak that brings the “Pull to Refresh” effect to the mobile safari app (similar to Twitter, Facebook app). You can either pull down to refresh a page or pull down to stop a page from loading. This tweak is compatible with firmware 3.x and iOS 4.x and requires mobilesubstrate.

You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch to install it. Follow our step by step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Redsn0w on iOS 4.2.1, or with Limera1n on iOS 4.1 if you haven’t already.

Pull To Refresh Safari is available from Cydia under BigBoss repository for free.
