You Can Now Watch Some Netflix Shows For Free, But Not On An iPhone

The folks at Netflix are letting users watch some of their shows for free right now, but inexplicably the offer isn’t available to anyone watching via an iPhone.

The news of the new, free streaming came via Gadgets360 which noted that there are some pretty big shows in the list of freebies. The first episode of the shows is free, while Netflix hopes that people will sign up once they’re hooked.

Netflix is offering limited free access to several original series and movies, including Stranger Things, Murder Mystery, Élite, Boss Baby: Back in Business, Bird Box, When They See Us, Love Is Blind, The Two Popes, Our Planet, and Grace and Frankie. If you are undecided on whether Netflix is worth the monthly subscription, well, the streaming service is here to help convince you. With the free access, you’ll be able to watch the full movie with all language options, though only the first episode of the first season is available for TV shows. And you don’t even need a Netflix account to make use of this offer.

But there’s one strange point that nobody seems to be able to answer right now – the deal isn’t available to anyone wanting to watch on an iPhone. Or, presumably, an iPad.

A Netflix help page for the same notes that only browsers on computers — Windows PCs or Macs — and Android devices are supported. Other platforms — iOS, smart TVs, or Fire Stick — and incognito mode are not supported.

Smart TVs and Fire Sticks are also out of luck, again with no explanation as to why. If you’re looking to get some free Netflix content, you’ll need to find some other way of watching it!
