Tesla’s Model X Now Comes With Darker 20-Inch Wheels As Stock

Tesla has updated the Model X and it now comes with new, darker wheels. But as the folks at Electrek are quick to point out — you shouldn’t expect to be able to get your hands on one soon.

Tesla gave the Model X a revision in January, but we haven’t heard a great deal about the updated car since.

That’s because while Tesla has been focusing all of its efforts on trying to get the updated Model S out the factory door, the Model X has been left to flounder. That means that anyone ordering one now is going to have to wait for an undetermined amount of time before they can actually take delivery.

The change that’s taken place recently is the darkening of the new 20-inch Cyberstream wheels — and we have to say they look pretty sweet.

When new Tesla Model X cars arrive you can expect them to come with the new wheels.

Delivery is now expected o happen at some point this quarter, but given the company’s inability to hit pretty much any target delivery date for anything at all, that seems highly unlikely.  In fact, anyone ordering now is likely to have to wait until at least March 2022, according to Tesla.
