Tesla Model 3 Highland Refresh Is Finally Here

After months of rumors and leaks the Tesla Model 3 Highland refresh is now here including a facelifted front and a new rear display. The new car also has an increased range.

That new range, Electrek notes, means that drivers can expect up to 12% more range from their EV than was previously the case.

That’s according to WLTP numbers, however, so they are best-case scenarios and probably shouldn’t be taken as any hard and fast estimate. Still, any increase is a good thing.

Tesla says that the refreshed Model 3 will have longer range, rated at 344 miles WLTP for the SR RWD version, and 421 miles WLTP for the LR, both with 18″ aero wheels. These numbers are an 11-12% improvement from WLTP ratings for the current Model 3.

That longer range is thanks to a change in the front of the car that makes it more aerodynamic, while the wheel cover inserts have also helped reduce drag, increasing range as a result.

On the inside, a new rear 8-inch touchscreen has been added, while the steering wheel stalks are gone. Other improvements include a new, quieter interior that should ensure less road noise. Rear comfort will also be improved thanks to new seats, while the interior ambient lighting is now customizable.

That’s all good news and deliveries are expected to begin in October for left-hand drive markets in Europe and the Middle East. North America and the UK haven’t been confirmed, however.
