It's common knowledge that Apple's desktop computers are fairly popular, but according to research compiled by Parks Associates, the iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro comprise the most sought-after product line in the desktop market - beating off competition from Dell in second place. Although the MacBook range remains extremely popular - more so than the desktop offerings from Apple - portables weren't considered in Parks' study, but even so, with some reputable brands for company including the likes of HP and Acer, it would seem the lure of a computer bearing that iconic bitten-apple logo is very strong indeed.
At the moment, cricket fans are in the midst of a key period in the cricketing calendar, especially those from England and Australia as both nations battle it out in the Ashes tour. It stands to reason at a time like this, that cricket fans will be more inclined to play cricket games as the excitement of the series takes hold, and naturally, developers have obliged. But 505 Games, the company behind the Steam title Ashes Cricket 2013, must have gotten a little too caught up in the hype, for the game is so bad and unplayable, that the plug has been pulled on the game completely. It gets better, though, for while games being cancelled is just part and parcel of the business, Ashes Cricket 2013 has already been released!
Iron Man fever is currently sweeping the globe, with fans of the Marvel series naturally stoked about the prospect of Iron Man 3 hitting cinemas very, very soon. If you're anxiously waiting for the film to reach your local box office and need your fix this instant, you may want to check out this uber-cool Iron Man mouse. While it doesn't do anything particularly groundbreaking, it does look rather awesome, and although it only ships in certain parts of Asia, we thought some of you die-hard fans would want to check it out.
As gamers continue to wait anxiously for the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 after it was delayed from Spring until September, Rockstar Games has sought to keep fans interested by releasing an image of the box art set to grace the cover of the title when it does finally release. Although the game itself should be head and shoulders above previous iterations in terms of visuals and aesthetics, the cover is every bit similar to the ones we're used to seeing from the old PlayStation 2 days. As well as giving us a glimpse of the cover, the publisher / developer also released another batch of GTA V screenshots earlier as a reminder of just how pretty the title is going to be.
Last Summer, Electronic Arts announced Battlefield 4, and with the special event for the title having just been held, the company has released an incredible 17 minutes of in-game footage. It features plenty of combat, a preview of some of the weaponry, and stunning visuals offering a timely reminder of why gaming fans are looking forward to the next installment of the legendary first-person shooter franchise. The title is set to release this fall for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and running on the Frostbite 3 engine, will evidently deliver a cutting-edge gaming experience. Microsoft's Kinect peripheral has only been on the market a couple of years, but its phenomenal sales in that short space of time is testament to how much we love that kind of interaction with our consoles. Wouldn't it be wonderful, though, if that same ethos was applied to PC or Mac? The Myo, a peripheral created by Thalmic Labs, makes this a reality by allowing simple gestures to be used in controlling a computer or notebook.

Although it never looked in any doubt, it's now official; Call of Duty: Black Ops II has once again delivered the biggest entertainment launch of the year for Activision, and with sales in excess of half a billion dollars in the first 24 hours alone, it's safe to say the gaming sphere's most powerful franchise has not completely lost its touch.
