There may not have been any hardware announcements, but Apple surely made up for any disappointment with the volume and quality of the software it showed off. It’s live. OS 10.10 Yosemite Developer Preview 1 download links are now live. Earlier today at the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple finally took the wraps off OS X 10.10, which we've now established will be called Yosemite. Naturally, the Cupertino company has followed the announcement up by releasing a Developer Preview of this new build, and below, we'll be pointing out the numerous ways in which you can get your hands on it.
We’re just a few minutes away from Apple’s WWDC 2014 keynote, and we’ve gotten our first glimpse of Apple’s next desktop operating system, rumored to be called OS X 10.10 Yosemite.
In less than 24 hours the big initial WWDC keynote will be over and we'll know the answers to so many of the questions that we've been posing over the last few weeks. With banners already giving huge hints that we'll be seeing the first glimpses of iOS 8 and Mac OS X 10.10, we're still left with plenty to guess.
It's now so close we can taste it, and as the hours tick down to this year's WWDC event, we're starting to get more of an idea about what Apple will be announcing at the event.
Given that Apple overhauled the design language of its mobile platform with iOS 7, it is reckoned that OS X, its desktop counterpart, will be treated to a similar makeover later this year. According to a new report, OS X 10.10 will be the central software announcement made at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2014) in June, with Apple supposedly keen to peddle the significant alterations being made to the Mac software.
We had a rough idea that this year's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) would kick off in June because, well.. it nearly always does. But with the Cupertino company having last week finally put any ambiguity to rest by officially announcing the WWDC 2014 event, we're now firmly fixated on what will be uncovered from June 2nd. Adding to the melting pot of information we already have regarding iOS 8 and OS X 10.10, more intriguing tidbits have emerged with regards to what Apple might have in store for this summer and beyond.
