It's been a massive year in the tech world, with so many huge stories coming out of everyone's favorite companies. Be it Apple, Google, Microsoft or one of the many other players in the space, someone, somewhere has been busy making the news.
Sixty seconds seems like a relatively small period of time, if you asked me what I believe I could achieve in a sixty second time frame I would probably admit to it being not very much. So just what does happen around the world in one single minute?
Microsoft is on something of an app releasing bender of late. If they aren't releasing new iPhone and Android apps or games, then they are bringing new apps to their own also-ran mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.

A new report published by Nielsen offers a lot of insight into smartphone usage in the US. Some of the findings are particularly interesting because of how users trends are separated by age group. For example, the majority of 18 to 24 and 25 to 34 year olds now own smartphones: 53% and 64% respectively. We’ll cover the rest of the findings one by one.

Microsoft today gave their OneNote iOS app an update to version number 1.3, and in the process also added iPad support to its note-taking application.
