You’d think that Steve Jobs would be running the latest unreleased version of iPhone OS on his iPhone but according to an email received by a 9to5Mac user from Steve Jobs, he seems to be running iPhone OS 3.1.2. His iPhone is listed as iPhone Mail 7D11 in the email header which means that he is running iPhone 3.1.2 instead of iPhone 3.1.3, let alone running the latest unreleased firmware.

The developer of sn0wbreeze has released final teaser video of sn0wbreeze which shows off a new feature which will be included when the final version is released this Thursday. This feature enables jailbroken iPhone and iPod touch users to change their boot logos without having to wipe-out anything. This method is referred to as NOR-only IPSW flashing. PreBrowser is a web browsing application for jailbroken iPhone and iPod touch which has been inspired by the web browser in Palm Pre. PreBrowser runs in full screen with tabs which gives it a look and feel from Palm Pre. The main UI of the app is plain and simple, with only one single “menu” button to go on the top left. It was only yesterday when we reported the long awaited update to install0us (version 2.5) and now it seems like the developer of the app has already pushed a new update, version 2.5.1 via Cydia. The only thing new in this update is that it removes the expiry date that the developer forgot to remove from version 2.5. Version 2.5 of the app will be expired in 4 days from now. You must upgrade to version 2.5.1 in order to continue using this app. Here are the official words from the developer himself.

The iPhone Dev-Team has finally released a proper working patch which fixes carrier name or logo on unlocked iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. If you jailbreaked your iPhone with PwnageTool 3.1.4 and then later unlocked it with ultrasn0w, then you must have noticed that the carrier name or logo on the top left side of the status bar was missing. This was caused due to a known bug in ultrasn0w and was purely cosmetic, which means that your phone continued to work even without the carrier logo in place. We earlier wrote about a fix for this bug but it was more of a workaround than a proper fix. But today, Dev-Team has released ultrasn0w 0.92 which fixes this issue. Follow the steps below to upgrade your phone to the latest version of ultrasn0w.
