Napster - the predecessor to P2P file sharing programs like Limewire - is now available for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch). This is not the Napster of the ‘olden days (circa 2000) when you could look up a song and download it straight to your 10GB hard drive. The file sharing service went bankrupt in 2002, bought by Best Buy in ‘08 and went legal last year.
“iPA God” is a new application which can be used to download paid apps from the App Store for free, directly onto your iOS device! According to the developer, you won’t have to jailbreak your iOS device to use iPA God. It works on an exploit found in iOS 4.1 / iOS 4.2 which allows you to create particular files on the filesystem. The developer took the opportunity and made an application out of it to make the entire process easier.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is a top-down open-world game for the Nintendo DS and PSP. Even though it really didn’t sell too many copies, it received thoroughly outstanding ratings from all video game reviewers (getting a 9.5/10 from GameSpot is no easy feat).
Earlier this week, Apple announced the much awaited iOS 4.2 update for the iPad. It brings tons of new features to iPad like Multitasking, Folders, Printing, AirPlay, Game Center and more. When we talk about touchscreen-only Tablets, the first device that pops up in mind is the iPad. It is an awesome device in many ways, provided that you find some good use for it. When iPad was launched earlier this year, it was pushed as a device to innovate the way we use our computers, just like what iPhone did with smartphones back in 2007.
Apple today has released iTunes 10 for both Windows and Mac OS X. This is a major release which brings lots of new feature to one of the most popular software around. Some of these features are highlighted below.
I don’t know if this is first for an Apple event but well, Apple has just announced that they are going to live stream September 1st “Special Media Event” which will be mainly geared towards their new 2010 iPod lineup. You will have to have either a Mac running Safari on Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad to watch the streaming. If you are a Windows user, you will be out of luck which kinda sucks in my opinion.
