While this is no where near as gigantic as a Verizon iPhone 5 deal would’ve been, it still is rather news-worthy: Apple’s smartphone-and-notebook-bridging gadget - the iPad - will be offered by Verizon Wireless and AT&T in the US starting 28th October.
Apple has just released iOS 4.2 Beta 3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This beta build, like any other iOS beta is meant for developers only. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of by signing into Apple Developer Connection.
GreenPois0n took weeks upon weeks upon weeks of development and hard work from the Chronic Dev Team. The SHAtter exploit based tool was supposed to release today, but after the release of George Hotz’ Limera1n (which is based on a new exploit; pwns all iOS 4.1 devices), Chronic Dev Team had to make a very tough decision.
The new all iOS device jailbreak Limera1n is now available for download. It can jailbreak iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G on iOS 4.0 - 4.1 and beyond. Following instructions will help you jailbreak iPad on iOS 3.2.2.
The Stereoscopic 3D experience is coming soon to iOS devices and Android! It’s not going to be native three-dimensional video but still offers similar results and the cool thing is: you won’t have to wear those hideous polarized glasses!
With the low-level SHAtter exploit scheduled to pwn all iOS devices for life soon, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the iOS 4.1 jailbreak will go down in history as one of the most anticipated jailbreak tool releases ever. And it is now “seems” only a matter of days, not weeks, till GreenPois0n tool is released.
While there are dozens upon dozens of patents that Apple has been granted, very few reach the quirkiness of the patent that Apple was granted today. The patent handed out day is that of a handheld device (think: future iPods, iPads and iPhones) that use capacitive, resistive touchscreens as as well surface acoustic wave forms (wth?) to recognize your hands/fingers simply by the way you hold it.
As amazing, revolutionary and magical the iPad may be, the fact remains that it lacks quite clearly in the video playback department. It only supports H.264, .mp4 and .mov video formats. Pretty limited, if you ask me. The tedious process of having to convert video files in iTunes before moving it to the iPad is, well, rather tedious.
“iPA God” is a new application which can be used to download paid apps from the App Store for free, directly onto your iOS device! According to the developer, you won’t have to jailbreak your iOS device to use iPA God. It works on an exploit found in iOS 4.1 / iOS 4.2 which allows you to create particular files on the filesystem. The developer took the opportunity and made an application out of it to make the entire process easier.
iOS 4.2 was released earlier today. Just like iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.0.2, the new iOS 4.2 at the moment is not jailbreakable. It also contains new baseband for all iOS devices which currently makes it impossible to unlock using existing version of Ultrasn0w. So if you rely on a jailbreak and unlock, stay away from this new firmware until new jailbreak and unlock tools are available for download.
