With a bunch of new devices from Samsung, HTC and Sony joining an already crowded smartphone market, this Spring is certainly a good time to be upgrading your handset. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available to pre-order in the United Kingdom and naturally, the vast majority of the big retailers and carriers are on board. Available from late next month, prices naturally vary depending on which package you go with, but the takeaway is that, even on contract, the device will cost a fair bit upfront. The Samsung Galaxy S4 may not have been released yet, but already, the thriving modding community has begun extracting it of all its exclusives and treasures, including its beautiful array of HD wallpapers. The Korean company has, naturally, updated and improved its native personal assistant S Voice for the upcoming flagship, and already, a system dump leaked into the wild has given the opportunity for those on preexisting devices to try it out. The app has already been tested by SamMobile on the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III and the Nexus 4, and is said to work "flawlessly" on each. Following on from the earlier news that T-Mobile would finally be carrying the iPhone as of early next month, the carrier has also revealed that Samsung's Galaxy S4 would be available in early May. CEO John Legere stated at the company's "UnCarrier" conference that the device will arrive "about May 1st," which means, providing no major hitches arise, consumers will only have to wait around five weeks to get their hands on Samsung's latest and greatest smartphone effort.
Around 70 percent of the first 10 million Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones will ship with the Snapdragon 600 processor, according to a new report. Only 30 percent will pack Samsung’s own Exynos 5 processor. The South Korean company is looking to sell the Snapdragon version throughout North America and Europe, while some European nations will see the Exynos 5 Octa-Core variant at a later date.
