The Steve Jobs movie may well go down in history as being remembered for its lackluster box-office performance, but it didn’t fair too badly at 73rd Golden Globe Awards. After being nominated for four awards in total, the movie managed to secure the vote for half of those nominations, picking up two gongs during the ceremony. Aaron Sorkin took home the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay and Kate Winslet managed to capture the attention of those casting their votes, winning the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role award for her acting alongside Michael Fassbender.

An interesting little tidbit coming out of the The Telegraph today, with the newspaper claiming that Steve Jobs was once in line for an honorary knighthood, only for then Prime Minister Gordon Brown to block the award.

The Social Network grabbed three Oscar awards, but falls short of winning the Best Picture (to The King’s Speech) at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. It was nominated for eight awards, including Best: Picture, Actor (Jesse Eisenberg who played as Mark Zuckerberg), Director, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Original Score and Sound Mixing.

Engadget today has announced winners of the 2010 Engadget Editor’s Choice Awards. And not so surprisingly, just like their Readers’ Choice Awards, iPhone 4 has bagged “Phone of the Year” award, iPad is awarded as “Gadget of the Year” while Microsoft’s Kinect has been awarded with both “Peripheral of the Year” and “Game Accessory of the Year” award.

According to the Beverly Hills Newspaper (The Courier), Steve Jobs (CEO and Co-Founder of Apple) will be honored with the title of “Lifetime Achievement in Technology” in the Vision Awards at Beverly Hilton on 23rd of this month. This will be the 40th anniversary of this awards ceremony.
