Here’s How To Build Your Own Apple-1 Replica From Scratch [Video]

Zayed Rehman·November 12, 2014
Apple-1 was the computer Steve Wozniak built in Steve Jobs’ garage, and while it was a true innovation of its time - selling for around $666 - the computer is now an item that only interests fervent Apple fans and collectors only. However, to add this to your collection now requires you to dish out around $0.9 million. However, thanks to Ben Heck - you can now create your very own working Apple-1 replica, if you're into such projects.

Apple Ranked World’s Most Valuable Brand; More Than Google And Microsoft Combined

Ben Reid·November 7, 2014
Forbes has just unveiled its annual list of the world's most valuable companies, and perched at the summit of this particular round-up is Apple. The iPhone maker has had an incredible year, shifting record numbers of the just-released iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the first couple of months on sale, and with an estimated valuation of almost $125 billion, Forbes believes Apple's brand is worth double that of Microsoft and almost 2.5 times that of search giant Google.

Concept Shows Google Glass Reimagined As An Apple Product [Images]

Ben Reid·October 29, 2014
One ambitious concept maker has crafted an interesting render of what a Google Glass-esque product might look like if Apple's design team was at the helm. It features, among other perks, a micro projector that beams content directly onto the lens, and while it seems far-fetched that such a slimline, stylish look could be achievable at this point in time, the designer suggests that Apple's own face computer could be something to consider in years to come.

Beats Music To Become Part Of iTunes In 2015 [Report]

Ben Reid·October 25, 2014
Given the rise in streaming music services like Spotify, the traditional digital sales model is dying a slow death, and there's no question that Apple's iTunes has not only been a linchpin of the digital music world during the past decade, but still remains the most popular online retailer of songs and albums. The Cupertino's iTunes Radio streamer hasn't really hit the heights in its short lifespan, and recognizing that it may lose ground on the rest of the field if it doesn't adapt to the current market, it's looking probable that the newly-acquired Beats Music service may be integrated into iTunes.

Watch: Apple Lead Designer Jony Ive Full Interview With Vanity Fair [Video]

Oliver Haslam·October 18, 2014
Few Apple employees capture the imagination quite like Sir Jony Ive. British in a distinctly James Bond kinda way, Ive is the man that not only designs all of the hardware that comes out of Cupertino, but following the ousting of Scott Forstall he now also oversees all of Apple's software design. The result is a 'love it or hate it' kinda thing - the hardware may be universally acclaimed but the same can't be said of the software.

Finnish PM On Apple: They Killed Nokia And Our Paper Industry

Zayed Rehman·October 14, 2014
It wasn't too long ago when Finnish Prime Minister, Alexander Stubb, openly blamed Apple, or more appropriately, Steve Jobs for Finland’s economic struggles. Stubb, in a recent interview on CNBC, said that Apple has caused the decline of two major industries of Finland: IT industry led by Nokia, and the paper industry. Stubb was replying to a question about the country's business environment following a decline in its credit rating.
