Apple Watch

Apple Watch is well and truly on its way to market, and while we've talked about the device itself ad infinitum, the apps will be just as important in determining its eventual success and longevity. At such an early stage, the selection is quite limited, but as per a page on the Watch section of the company's website, we can enjoy a little glimpse of what's to come.

In a move that probably shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone, it appears that Apple has ceased selling wrist-worn health products in both its retail and online Apple Store. With the Apple Watch set to go on sale next month, removing items that compete with some of its competition seems to be the reason, at least in part.

The Apple Watch is a very exciting product, and one that could change everything, again. But while it's easy to get caught up in the aesthetic perks and the numerous hardware and software-based features, one must also pay attention to the security aspect. Given that Apple Pay will be an integral component of Watch's infrastructure, a secure environment is paramount, and since it took Apple years to offer decent anti-theft measures with the iPhone, many prospective consumers are wondering what happens to data if the device is stolen.

A new accessory for the April-bound Apple Watch has just been announced, and it's a fancy portable stand for the wearable which also serves as a charging dock. Called the WatchStand, designed and built by Griffin, head over the jump for a closer look at the accessory.

In an interesting development, there's news flying around that the Apple Watch's battery could in fact be replaceable. Following the Spring forward media event held just yesterday, the Apple Watch has since then been listed on Apple’s website with details on the battery as well, but there was no mention of the 'replaceable battery' bit in either the keynote address or the website.
