The legality of Popcorn Time has been questioned on umpteen occasions, but those behind the development of the free-to-use service have remained dedicated to its development. In fact, over the past few months alone, it has spawned apps across several platforms, yet while iOS users are accustomed to being served before anyone else, the opposite has been true in this instance. Today, though, Popcorn Time has added support for Apple TV via AirPlay in the Windows app, with support in Mac app coming soon, and along with it, the promise that an iOS version is on its way and will become available very soon.

Snapchat has just added a cool new feature allowing users to add location-specific filters to snaps before sending them out. The image and video-sharing IM service, which has a popular following among college-age users, has seen its user base soar in recent times, and having added IM-like chat features in a large update earlier on in the year, has now baked in a geofiltering service as an extension of those traditional, Instagram-esque overlays it recently rolled out.
This year's Google I/O may have been dominated by the search giant's grand unveiling of Android L, but there were still plenty of other major announcements besides.
