Sylver Brings Instagram App On Apple Vision Pro That Meta Won’t

The Apple Vision Pro has been on sale for almost a month and it was confirmed back in June, but none of that time has been long enough for Instagram to launch a visionOS app, and there might never be one.

Thankfully, that doesn’t mean that you can’t actually use Instagram on your Apple Vision Pro.

The App Store on visionOS is starting to grow into a place where you can find apps for just about everything you need and a new addition brings Instagram to the spatial computer like never before. Called Sylver and created by 17 year old John Caden Chorlog, the app can be downloaded from the App Store now for $3.99.

Sylver, elegantly designed for visionOS, offers you an exquisite gateway to immerse yourself in Instagram’s captivating realm. With its user-centric interface, it simplifies your journey through the endless stream of photos, videos, and stories. It’s crafted to enhance your browsing experience, allowing you to effortlessly discover and engage with the content that resonates with you. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, following your favorite creators, or indulging in visual storytelling, Sylver provides a polished and intuitive platform.

The Sylver app has been around for a couple of weeks now and received a new update to add support for improved performance and Surroundings controls.

Until Meta decides to launch an Instagram app for the Apple Vision Pro this might well be the best way to enjoy all those photos of breakfasts and places you’ll never be able to visit and at $3.99, it won’t break the bank.
