Powerbeats Pro Pre-Orders Go Live In U.S. And Canada

Just as had previously been predicted, the Powerbeats Pro earbuds are now available for pre-order from Apple, assuming you’re in the United States or Canada. Orders can be placed via Apple’s online store, or via the Apple Store app on iPhones and iPads.

The Powerbeats Pro earbuds are the first pair of Beats to be completely wireless, something that was made possible by the inclusion of the latest H1 chip that is also found in AirPods. That means these earbuds also come with “Hey Siri” hands-free capabilities and are essentially able to boast feature parity with their more illustrious family member.

That’s not to say that Powerbeats Pro are priced the same as AirPods. Pre-orders will pay $249.95 in the United States or $329.95 in Canada, with stock expected in select retailers on May 10th. There will be multiple colors available eventually, but right now, you can have any colour you want so long as it’s black. Ivy, Moss, and Navy will come eventually, too.

Completely re-engineered from the inside out, the earphones boast an upgraded linear piston driver that leverages an efficient, pressurized airflow to create a powerful acoustic response in a small package. Enhanced sound quality means incredibly low distortion and great dynamic range across the entire frequency curve.

Sweat resistance and improved comfort and fit are what make the Powerbeats Pro a different monster compared with AirPods. If you want AirPods-like pairing and battery reporting, not to mention that hands-free Siri support, then Powerbeats Pro are definitely the best option for you. Yes, they’re more costly than AirPods, but they’re also much more useful in certain situations.

Ideally, you’d probably buy both, and we’re sure that’s what Apple would want. Not that we’re suggesting that you do, of course.
