Sad news for quite a lot of people, including us. The Microsoft Courier Tablet won’t go into production and has been confirmed by Microsoft itself that they’re pulling the plug on the Courier Tablet project.

The creator of Spirit has posted an update, “now” confirming that he is not going to release his jailbreak tool on Friday (tomorrow). Moreover, he has also deleted his “update” where he said that it was coming this Friday.

Well it now looks like Geohot is not going to release his jailbreaking bits for the iPhone and iPad anytime soon. Apple has just released iTunes 9.1.1 for both Windows and Mac. This is a minor release for stability and bug fixes which addresses issues like problems in “converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing”, “stability issues with VoiceOver ”, and various other bug fixes.
