We saw a video a few days back in which Geohot performed an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3. This will most probably also work on the iPhone 3.2 firmware for iPad. In the meanwhile, another iPhone hacker by the name of comex released another video, which showed off untethered userland (browser based) jailbreak for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. This new userland jailbreak of iPhone 3.1.3 by comex has now been given a name – say hello to “Spirit”, an untethered userland jailbreak for iPhone.

Apple has just released the final version of iPhone OS 3.2, along with SDK for iPad. This final version of iPhone OS 3.2 and SDK for iPad has been released only a few days before the first batch of iPad pre-orders ships this coming weekend on April 3rd. The last Beta 5 was released on March 18th, and Beta 4 was released earlier this same month. This is an iPad only release.
According to the latest report of Wall Street Journal, Apple is expected to release not one, but two iPhones this year – one on AT&T this summer, and one CDMA version by fall on Verizon. WSJ detailed it as follows.
