Here’s some interesting news related to iMac and iOS 4. How many of you thought that iOS 4 is limited to the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad only? We used to think the same, but looks like all that’s going to change. Apple is planning to ship iOS with its next iMac refresh with a touch-screen display.
The iPhone Dev Team has just updated PwnageTool to version 4.01, bringing fix for iBooks on iPhone which was problematic on pwned and hacktivated iOS devices running iOS 4. Almost everything else remains the same except for this issue, and so it is recommended that you jailbreak your iPhone again if were having issues with the last release of PwnageTool.
iPhone 4 has arrived in iFixit lab and with no surprises, they have taken it down for a full dissection of Apple’s newly released device. The teardown has confirmed that iPhone 4 houses 512MB RAM instead of 256MB found in leaked prototypes, the front glass panel (Retina Display) of the iPhone 4 is constructed of Corning Gorilla Glass to protect it from wear and tear, and there is also a second microphone for voice cancellation just like the one found in Google Nexus One.

TinyUmbrella has been updated to support the new iOS 4 on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 2G/3G. iPad is also supported but iOS 4 for iPad isn't available yet. iPhone 3G is not supported because you don't need to save SHSH blobs for iPhone 3G, and older iPod touch (non MC model).
iPhone 4 was originally scheduled for delivery on 24th June. Then we heard about 23rd June delivery for some of the customers who got the confirmation from AT&T in an email. Apparently, there is an unofficial version of PwnageTool out in the wild which can jailbreak iPhone 3GS (with old bootrom and already pwned on 3.1.2) on the latest iOS 4 firmware. The creators of the original PwnageTool has confirmed that this version has been modified and redistributed without their permission, and most importantly, it doesn’t patches some important files which are required for the ultrasn0w unlock to work properly.
