According to a tweet by Google’s Android chief, Andy Rubin, Android is activating over 700,000 Android devices every day. That comes out to about 5 million every week!

Some of you may have read my post yesterday regarding a problem being suffered at the hands of people using an Apple device running iOS 3.1.3, if not then you can familiarize yourself by reading it here so that this update will make more sense. In brief, a large number of of iDevice users has reported via the Apple Support Communities forums that when attempting to access the App Store via a device running iOS 3.1.3 they were greeted with a non functioning platform. Some users experienced a total App Store black out with no functionality whatsoever, whereas some could actually download updates to already installed applications but could not browse or purchase new apps.
In todays day and age it isn't uncommon to see products belonging to large brands appearing unashamedly throughout Hollywood blockbusters. The general public refer to this type of advertising as product placement, but a more common name is embedded marketing which is when a well known branded product is placed in a context usually outside of the advertisement sphere like a movie, music video or a television show.

Microsoft has released a fun (and free!) application that promises a few laughs. Face Swap is available for Windows Phone users and with a few simple steps, allows you to swap faces between two people. It may work with more than two, but I have not tested it. The application can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
With Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich, Google made one very major decision regarding the user-interface: replace physical below-screen buttons on the front of the device with virtual on-screen buttons. Instead of home, menu, back, search buttons, Ice Cream Sandwich comes with back, home and task switcher.
