Every now and again, a game releases for mobile devices which simply takes over - engaging nearly every user it encounters and becoming a cult favorite in the process.
The Gold Master build of Apple's soon-to-be-announced iOS 5.1 has, after three weeks of extensive quality testing by Apple and its carrier partners, passed quality assurance tests, signifying that it's now ready for the end-user.
Two weeks ago, some preliminary information and screenshots of the Office 15 Technical Preview build surfaced on The Verge. Today, they have followed up with additional information, this time providing a quick rundown of some of the new features that have been implemented in 'main' Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote - thus far. While Microsoft has mainly remained quiet about what's coming in Office 15, as it is a Technical Preview build - which is passed to OEMs, partners, and select testers - leaks should come as no surprise, and should even be expected in some cases.

When Apple officially launched the public version of iOS 5 alongside the iPhone 4S in October 2011, the new and improved system wide notification system was generally perceived as a much needed and long overdue addition to the operating system. Previous versions of iOS came with an extremely ugly, and intrusive way of handling notifications by slapping a big blue alert view onto the device’s screen. Not only was this system not in-keeping with the beauty of the OS, but it also provided a terrible user experience, with the alert view making sure that the user was interrupted in whatever they were doing.
Apple can call it the iPad 3, iPad 2S or even the iPad HD, for all we care, we know that it will be announced in just over a day and we are super excited about it. With the Apple crew set to descend on the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts tomorrow at 10AM PST, we will be focusing on the specifications, the aesthetics and the launch date, so we know just when we will be able to get our hands on the next-generation tablet.
We live in an age that is becoming increasingly reliant upon computers and the ability to connect to the internet. There can be no denying that the world wide web is a marvelous resource and gives us 24/7 access to a wealth of knowledge, fun and entertainment, containing information and data which appeals across the age spectrum. That access and information is constantly going to grow due to the fact that worldwide adoption rate of smartphone and tablet devices, meaning the internet truly has become a mobile resource, accessible pretty much from any location.
As far as download numbers are concerned, the Consumer Preview of Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 has gone down pretty well - building on the popularity of the early Alpha release with over a million downloads in its 24 hours.
Personally speaking, I am not a big Facebook fan, but there are millions upon millions of people all over the globe who can't go a day without logging into the world’s largest social network and checking out what kind of sandwich their old school friend had for lunch, or poking their best friend in an act of online bullying. Although already wildly popular, the whole Facebook experience may be a distinctly better one for a large portion of users if they didn't need to be constantly signed into the web service with a browser running all the time.
