Samsung is the number one smartphone manufacturer in the world right now, and having yielded huge success with the Galaxy S and Galaxy S II, few could have foreseen the impact of the Galaxy Note, which although seeming to look far too large for most pockets, actually sold in impressive numbers.
Microsoft’s motion sensing Kinect has so far been used in plenty of novel ways. We’ve seen, among other things, developers add Minority Report UI-style features to Windows, allow 3D videochatting, and help consumers select dresses by virtually wearing them, but allowing people who have trouble reading to send emails with a few gestures is something very new that we’ve come across today. According to a report over at the hit-and-miss DigiTimes, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display - along with updated spec iMacs - are shipping to Apple's upstream supply chain. DigiTimes has, as is often the case, latched onto the story via sources from within said supply chain, and reports the 13.3" MacBook Pro with Retina display should be upon us within the next six weeks.
Although we are now officially on Mac OS X 10.8.1 and enjoying all of the fantastic benefits which Apple's Mountain Lion operating system brings, some users are just getting around to sampling some of the improvements that OS X Lion brought to the party. Google and ASUS had to cut a few corners to sell their Nexus 7 at $199. The tablet has no rear camera, support for cellular data, or expansion via microSD card slot, and comes with an SD front facing camera. Despite all these things, the tablet is still being sold at a loss to gain traction.

If you had mentioned the possibility of having standard access to the ability to print three-dimensional solid objects from a digital image a few years ago, then most people would have turned their noses up and say that it would never be possible unless the user had a shed load of cash to invest in the process. In some aspects, that has actually proven to be true, with 3D printing being available but not exactly the cheapest thing in the world. Fortunately, thanks to processes being introduced that remove much of the hassle behind designing prints, the whole process is becoming cheaper and more accessible.
