Get webOS Style Rounded Corners On Android Screen With ‘RoundR’

Ben Reid·April 17, 2013
HP's cult favorite webOS may have been essentially killed off by the large computer firm before being sold on to LG, but its presence is certainly still felt in the mobile world. One of the nice aesthetic elements of the company's short-lived operating system was the rounded corners, but even with a thriving community like Android's, a replication of that stylish look has not really manifested itself since. If you always wanted to see what your handset's display might look like with rounded corners, you may want to check out a little app / mod by the name of RoundR.

How To Find Your Windows 8 Product Key The Easy Way

Aatif·April 17, 2013
Windows remains the most popular and widely-used desktop operating system to date, and hence, has the largest chunk of user application software running on it. The nature of these applications ranges between games to multimedia to productivity and even development tools. For that reason, the operating system can tend to become unstable over time, especially if you try out a lot of software (without paying much attention to safety) and are not very conscious of your system’s health. Bottom line is, you may find yourself in need of reinstalling the operating system from time to time, and while with newer versions of Windows, the system stability has seen significant improvement, there will still be cases where you’d not be left with any other choice. For reinstalling Windows on your desktop or notebook, you need the serial key.

PlayStation 4 Price Will Look To Target Gamers “In The Broadest Sense”, According To Sony VP

Ben Reid·April 17, 2013
It has been almost two months since Sony announced its next-gen PlayStation 4 games console, but despite being two months closer to its forecast Q4 launch, we still don't appear to be any closer to knowing what it will look like, or how much it's going to cost. An interesting interview run by Edge magazine by Sony Worldwide Studios Vice President Michael Denny reveals that Sony may at least have learned from the error of its pricing of the PlayStation 3, and wants to find a price point with the PS4 that appeals not only to hardcore gaming fanatics, but also gamers "in the broadest sense."

Open App Store Links On iPhone Within Apps As Pop-Up Window With ‘QuickStore’

Ben Reid·April 17, 2013
One of the most incessantly annoying features of iOS's functionality is the fact that whenever you open up an App Store link in your browser, in the Notes app, or within any other app for that matter, it automatically jumps away from what you're doing, and takes you straight to the page of the game or app in App Store app. This rather irritating trait is also manifested on OS X, with iTunes popping up by default when you're just looking to check out an app's reputation in your browser. Luckily, jailbreaks mean the pet peeves of most users can be nullified, and with a nifty little tweak by the name of QuickStore, clicked App Store links will appear in a versatile pop-up window as opposed to dragging you away from your app-in-hand.

Windows 8.1 Will Allow Users To Boot Directly Into The Traditional Desktop, Bypassing Start Screen

Ben Reid·April 16, 2013
Windows 8 has certainly divided opinion among PC users, with some users having been vocally critical of the tiled, so-called Metro interface that Microsoft decided to opt for. Traditionalists have been particularly unimpressed with the new Start menu, which, while adept for tablet use, can confuse the everyday, desktop Windows user. According to sources of TheVerge, Microsoft is testing current builds of Windows 8.1 inclusive of an option for users to boot into the much familiar desktop screen.
