Google Street View is quite possibly one of the company's best innovations to date, besides cataloguing the entire World Wide Web, that is. Being able to take a virtual walk down a very real street is something that would have seemed almost impossible not too long ago, but Google made it happen. And today, Google is stepping things up a notch.
We've covered our thoughts on in-app purchases in the past, specifically parents who go after Apple because their kids ran up huge bills after they were able to buy all manner of things in-game - often racking up huge bills, we’ll even go as far as saying ‘ridiculous bills’. Whilst many people have little sympathy for such parents, that didn't stop approximately 23 million people taking to the courts over the matter.
iOS 7 is significant because it marks the beginning of a new journey where the Cupertino company must once again prove that their vision for the software is just, and in line with modern mobile software. One of the main overhauls in terms of native apps was seen in the Photos app, but it also seems that users can get a taste of that experience by using the Photoful app from PhotoSocial LLC.
If you pay attention to the jailbreaking scene, you'll be aware that the current state of jailbreak is not a good one. Currently, all A5+ devices cannot be jailbroken on the current iOS version, 6.1.3 or 6.1.4. Apple has stopped signing the iOS 6.1.2 firmware, which is the last firmware compatible with the Evasi0n untethered jailbreak.
Musyc, a new app released for iOS, is yet another of those quirky music creation apps allowing you to whimsically create some very nice sounds by shuffling different shapes around. Although it sounds like a children's game, it's actually a lot more enjoyable and gratifying than it should be, and if you feel like kicking back and making some sweet music, check out the details after the jump!
Most of the details of Microsoft's upcoming Xbox One console have now been disclosed, and with Don Mattrick having now stepped out to quash any notion of problem pertaining used games and such, fans and prospective purchasers can now begin to look forward to the Xbox One release date. S., the console will be released on November 27th of this year, affording gamers plenty of time to snap it up before the big holiday rush.
If there's one rumor that just won't go away, especially when there is talk of a new iPhone being on the cards, it's the suggestion that Apple is all set to bring a new, larger screened device to market. The release of the iPhone 5 was the first time those rumors were actually right, but with some claiming a yet larger device is on the horizon, could Apple be about to take Samsung on at its own game?
Facebook has only just been in all the news for the right reasons after Instagram started offering videos as well as photos via its mobile apps, but today it finds itself on the front pages for all the wrong reasons. At a time when security is very much on everybody's minds, Facebook has had to admit that around six million people have had their contact details exposed as part of a bug. More details can be found right here.
We are fast approaching that all-important period of time that manages to sneak up on us each and every year. Yes, we are talking about the point in the yearly calendar when the speculation surrounding the next-generation of iPhone starts to well and truly come to the surface. We've seen this year's WWDC come and go with no mention whatsoever of any new iPhone hardware, which in itself is significant as it immediately rubbished rumors relating to Apple falling back in line with the original 2007 June announcement schedule. Very little is known about the seventh-generation iPhone device - other than it will run iOS 7 of course - but a couple of images to mysteriously emerge could show the existence of the iPhone 5S with a number of notable upgrades.
If a game gets to see the kind of the success as the Need For Speed franchise, a motion picture tends to be something of an inevitability. The Need for Speed movie, which has already been confirmed for those that missed the memo, pretty much writes its own script, and as a recently released teaser trailer demonstrates, this flick is going to give The Fast And The Furious a run for its money for pulsating, rubber-burning, white-knuckle racing madness. The video is a must watch and can be found right here after the break!
