Kohler’s New Showerhead Comes With A Smart Speaker And Alexa Built In

Kohler has now won the award for the weirdest place you can put an Echo device – by putting it into a showerhead. The new product has been announced ahead of CES and is effectively an Echo Dot that slots into a showerhead.

Called the Kohler Moxie Showerhead, this thing is perhaps one of the strangest things we’ve seen. But the more we think about it the more we have to reluctantly admit that it might just make sense. Now you can be stood in the shower and ask Alexa to check the weather or play your favorite song. All while you’re lathering up.

If you’re wondering about power, then wonder no more. You’ll get up to five hours of playback from a single charge and there’s a cordless dock that will handle charging when that time comes. It seems Kohler really has thought of everything, hasn’t it?

There are two versions of the showerhead available. The first, with Alexa built-in, will sell for $229 while one that just supports Bluetooth will cost $169. Both versions are obviously waterproof, as you would expect, and the whole shebang will be available to buy later in 2020. We don’t know exactly when that will be, though.

We’re more conflicted about this than we ever thought we would be, but the more we think about it the more we might actually want one. The only downside? That price.
