Kodi 19.x Matrix Reaches Release Candidate As It Nears Completion

The team behind Kodi, the popular media jukebox software, has today announced that the latest version – 19.x Matrix – is at the Release Candidate stage.

The update has been made available as a Release Candidate so users can install it now and report back if they have any issues.

That said, the team says that the code is stable and ready for daily use – issues are expected to be minimal.

This is stable, reliable code, suitable for daily use. Please, then: install, test, and give us clear feedback on any remaining issues, either with the new features or perhaps with a regression in existing code. As this is a release candidate, we think it’s basically ready to go, but let’s aim to make sure.

Those who are looking for the list of changes can find them on the Kodi website, although it’s important to remember that this isn’t a feature release and is stead an iteration on previous ones. Anyone hoping for big changes are likely to be disappointed.

Anyone wanting to take the new Kodi 19 Matrix Release Candidate for a spin can download it now over at mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/, with those on Android devices able to enroll in the beta program via Google Play.
