iWork For iPhone, iPad Gets Dark Mode, HEVC Support, More For iOS 13

Not content with releasing a slew of new iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS updates as well as a new macOS 10.15 Catalina beta, Apple has also released newly updated versions of its popular iWork apps. Available for both iPhone and iPad, those updates can be downloaded from the App Store for free now.

All of the new updates bring some iOS 13 and iPadOS features including the ability to take advantage of Dark Mode. There’s also support for multiple spaces on iPad, so users can edit multiple documents side-by-side. You can also access files on external storage devices or file servers, too.

Other improvements include new keyboard shortcuts as well as support for HEVC-formatted movies in all three apps. We’re not sure how many people are inserting movies into Numbers documents, but if you fall into that category, you’re good to go once you install these updates.

At the time of writing, some people were able to see the new version 5.2 updates of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote but others were not. If you fall into the latter category, try again later. Sometimes it can take a while for all of Apple’s servers and App Stores to become aware of new app updates.

You’ll need to have iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.1 installed to take advantage of some of these features but you really ought to have updated by now. What are you waiting for?
