iPhone XR Is The Best-Selling iPhone Model Since Its Launch, Says Apple

There has been a huge amount of discussion about the popularity of the current iPhone lineup, especially the least costly of the three-pronged approach that Apple has taken this time around.

The iPhone XR was expected to be popular when reviewers got their hands on them and routed them as perhaps the best iPhone for most people, but reports since then have suggested that the iPhone XR’s sales have been less than stellar. However, in an interview with CNET, Apple’s VP of product marketing, Greg Joswiak, said that was not the case.

In fact, Joswiak says that the iPhone XR has been the best selling iPhone each and every day since it went on sale on October 26th, just over a month ago.

Greg Joswiak, Apple vice president of product marketing, told CNET in an interview Wednesday that the [iPhone XR] has “been our most popular iPhone each and every day since the day it became available.”

Reports of slow iPhone sales have been everywhere lately, with Apple supposedly reducing iPhone XR and iPhone XS orders due to difficulties in predicting demand. That may still be the case, and it’s possible that the iPhone XR is still selling poorly with the iPhone XS selling in even lower numbers.

We very much doubt that is the case however, and it’s more likely that analysts have once again gotten things askew as far as iPhone sales are concerned.

Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to know for sure just how well the new iPhones are doing after Apple announced recently that it would no longer be sharing details on unit sales, bringing it in line with other large technology companies.
