iPhone 11 Pro Camera Ranks Lower Than Huawei Mate 30 Pro On DXOMARK, But Does It Matter?

DXOMARK has a new iPhone camera quality score out, with the iPhone 11 Pro being the subject this time around. According to its test, the new iPhone comes in third, but none of that really matters.

As people have repeatedly pointed out, DXOMARK’s scores don’t really mean much at all.

After all, the liking we take to photos from certain cameras, is entirely subjective. DXOMARK is no stranger to controversies and fans of certain brands not being entirely happy with the scores often received.

With an overall DXOMARK Camera score of 117, the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max secures itself a top 5 position in our current ranking. Its Photo score of 124 puts it among the best for still images, and it shares the top spot for Video with the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition.

Ultimately we’re hyper skeptical about anything these scores try to claim, but we’re reporting on them because some people like to keep abreast of them. So here we are. Consider yourselves notified.

Whether you put any stock in DXOMARK’s score is up to you, of course. But us? We’re going to leave it down to tossing a coin or reading tea leaves. It’s probably a more accurate way of grading.
