iOS 13 Beta 2 Release Date: Here’s When To Expect

Looking for iOS 13 beta 2 download release date? Here’s when to expect the second seed of much anticipated iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.

Apple has today made iOS 12.4 beta 4 available to developers, but what about the second iOS 13 beta? We’re now a week into testing of that initial beta release, and while Apple warned everyone that the release wasn’t for everyone that likely didn’t stop them from taking it for a spin. So when can we expect the second beta to offer some respite from the many bugs that iOS 13 beta 1 has?

Given past release schedules Apple is most likely to release the next beta on June 18th. That’s because in recent years we’ve seen a 15-day gap between the first and second betas being made available. That did extend to 16 days once, but the smart money is on a 15-day turnaround once again.

While all eyes are on that second beta release in the hope that it will rectify some of the issues that people have noted in the first one, it’s important to remember that these are still very much early days for iOS 13. We expect betas to be released all the way up to launch day in September, with fixes coming thick and fast between now and then.

As for future betas beyond iOS 13 beta 2, we’d expect a two-week cycle to be the one Apple generally sticks to unless something big crops up in a previous release.

We also don’t know how many betas will be released in total, but Apple will no doubt want to make sure that iOS 13, and indeed iPadOS 13, watchOS 6, tvOS 13, and macOS 10.15 Catalina are in top condition before they land in the hands of the public.
