You can now get iOS 11.3 download final IPSW version for the new iPad 6 2018 (9.7-inch) model. Here are the details.
At their media event focused on education, Apple didn’t announce anything about the GM or final availability of iOS 11.3. The company though has now gone ahead and released the final version of the said firmware, but it appears to be currently only available for the new iPad 6th-gen it announced yesterday.
As some of you may already know, iOS 11.3 has been in beta testing form since January of this year and brings with it a number of new features for iPhone and iPad users. iOS 11.3 features includes, but are not limited to, a number of new Animoji characters for iPhone X, new Battery Health feature for older iPhones to tackle performance vs battery degradation problem, Messages on iCloud feature, Business Chat for iMessage, and much more.
Also added are improvements to both HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks.
Of course, iOS 11.3 – like most minor or major releases from Apple – also includes a number of security improvements and patches in order to fix critical vulnerabilities in the system.
Currently, we don’t know when iOS 11.3 final version will hit for all other devices, but given that we now have it available for latest-gen iPads, it shouldn’t be too long before we get it for all other devices as well.
We will of course update you all whenever iOS 11.3 final version is available for all compatible devices. For now, if you have the new iPad on order, or already got one, you can update it to the latest firmware version via OTA update by heading into Settings > General > Software Update section, or through iTunes using IPSW links given below.
