HTC One In Red Color Configuration Announced [IMAGES]

The HTC One is regarded by many as the best smartphone currently available, for Android or otherwise, and with the silver and stealth black variants having been available since launch (although the latter is rather difficult to track down), the Taiwanese company has added a vibrant "Glamour Red" offering to proceedings. So, if you’re in the hunt for a top-end smartphone that really stands out from the crowd, check the images of this exciting new model after the leap!

I was among the many that decided to take the plunge and grab the HTC One, and as a long-time iPhone user, I could not be happier. Sure, I wish I had waited for the HTC One Google edition which does away with the, in my opinion, rather needless Sense overlay and all the storage-hogging apps therein, but on the whole, it is a superb device. The screen is beautiful, camera equally so, and although the "BoomSound" speakers sound as gimmicky as the "UltraPixel" camera, both features are very well crafted, and I’ve yet to hear a mobile device pump out better audio this far.

The Glamour Red color variant looks, on the face of it, a very nice-looking alternative. We’ve already talked about the One’s incredible build quality, and the red and black finish of this new model only but accentuates the effort HTC has put into delivering a high-end finish. Regarded by many as HTC’s last chance to impress after a string of nearly devices, the One has enjoyed strong early sales, and if you were looking for something a little brighter to carry around with you, the Glamour Red HTC One should definitely remain in your thoughts.

At this point in time, details on availability are scarce, but from HTC’s press release, it looks like this one will start off by hitting the UK market, with retailer Phones4u commanding rights to exclusivity. There’s no word on when or if the red model will hit the US market, but we’ll be sure to let you know of all the details should this occur.

Still, if you are in the States, you can check out the Google Edition of the HTC One, which is now available over at the Play Store. It runs on stock Android, so if you’re a purist, this is definitely the one to get.

For UK fans looking to grab the Glamour Red model, it will be free of charge subsidized by a £33 a month contract that, we’re presuming, will run through 24 months. It’s now available to preorder over at Phones4u, so what are you waiting for?
