Grand Theft Auto VI Is Getting Its Very First Trailer Next Month

After years of waiting, speculation, and leaks, Rockstar Games has officially announced that the next release in the popular Grand Theft Auto franchise is on the way.

While we don’t yet know exactly what it will be called or when it’ll be released, we’ve been told to expect the first trailer for what is expected to be GTA VI to arrive next month.

The game company announced the news in a post on X, the social network previously known as Twitter.

This comes after Bloomberg reported that an announcement was imminent with something expected as soon as this week. A matter of hours later Rockstar Games announced that the trailer will arrive in December, and that’s when we also expect to see more information about what the game is and when it will arrive.

By that time it will be more than ten years since GTA V arrived on the scene in 2013 before going on to become the second-most popular game on the planet, edged out by Minecraft. Microsoft’s Minecraft has the added benefit of being available on everything, including phones and tablets, which probably gives it an unfair advantage.

The GTA V game has sold more than 185 million copies since its debut on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Rockstar Games will be hoping for even a sliver of that success when GTA VI arrives.
