Facebook 4.1 For iPhone Now Available; Brings Timeline, Access To Friend Lists, Subscribers, Subscriptions, And More

Earlier this week, Facebook rolled out the new Timeline profile view worldwide for both web and Mobile web users. While the update for Android app with Timeline view was available on the same day as well, update for iOS app wasn’t, this was probably because of strict screening process that it had to go through before final approval for iTunes App Store.

The just released version 4.1 of Facebook for iOS brings the long-awaited new Facebook profile view (Mobile Timeline) to iPhone, along with the ability to access friend lists, subscribers, and subscriptions right from the native app. This new update for iOS also promises faster and better performance.

While the (universal) iPad app has also been updated to version 4.1, the new Timeline view unfortunately isn’t available on it yet. Timeline support for iPad will be added soon in the next update.

Here’s the full change-log of Facebook v4.1 for iOS:

– Access to Mobile Timeline on iPhone (if you already have a timeline). iPad support coming soon.
– Access to friend lists, subscribers and subscriptions
– Faster, better performance
– Photos are easier to view, upload and comment on

Facebook Timeline was first announced back in September this year at f8 conference by CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself. Public rollout began in second week of December, which was followed by complete rollout this past Friday.

If you haven’t got the new Timeline yet, follow the instructions on how to get it right now. To learn more about Facebook Timeline, and how it works, check out the post published here.
