Elon Musk Says The Tesla Cybertruck Won’t Come With Door Handles

The Cybertruck is still a thing that Tesla will apparently get around to launching at some point later this year after it was announced in November 2019.

Since that announcement things have been fairly quiet, but Tesla CEO Elon Musk has today teased one feature that few would have expected – the Cybertruck won’t have door handles.

While Musk didn’t go any further than that, it’s at least a little bit of information for those who are impatiently waiting for their new truck to be built.

We already know that the planned smaller Cybertruck has now been canceled, leaving the larger model as the only one being worked on. It’s impossible the smaller version will make a return at some point in the future, however.

As for the door handles, it’s all a little bit strange. Musk’s debut of the Cybertruck in 2019 included door handles similar to those found on the Model S. That means they appeared and disappeared at will, but now Musk appears to be saying that there will be no door handles at all.

It’s possible that we can expect a future where other Tesla cars also go the same route, too, but for now we’ll just have to try and make sense of cryptic Musk tweets while we wait.
