You can now download iOS 17.0.3 via IPSW links and OTA update for the iPhone and iPad — Here are all the details.

Apple has today released the new iOS 17.0.3 and iPadOS 17.0.3 updates to the public and while they don’t include new features, they do have important fixes. At the top of the list is an improvement that should stop iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max handsets from overheating.

Other improvements include the usual array of bug fixes and security updates so we would absolutely suggest that you download this new update even if you don’t have an iPhone 15 Pro-series device. The security fixes include one that addresses a kernel vulnerability that could allow someone to gain elevated privileges, for example.

You can of course download the new update via the Settings app on the iPhone and iPad and that’s the quickest way to do it. However, those who prefer to install things manually can also download the IPSW files and go that route, too. You’ll need go connect your iPhone or iPad to a Mac or PC and use Finder or iTunes respectively.
